U.S. Renal Care Celebrates 10 Years of the Nephrology Business Leadership Conference (NBLU)

PLANO, Texas / February 5, 2025 / PRNewswire / — U.S. Renal Care (USRC), the fastest-growing dialysis provider in the nation and the industry leader in clinical quality and patient experience, is proud to announce the 10th anniversary of Nephrology Business Leadership Conference (NBLU). Established in 2016 in collaboration with Dallas Renal Group and the University of California San Diego, this annual educational program offers senior nephrology fellows a comprehensive, hands-on experience to prepare them for their professional careers. NBLU is designed to complement the clinical skills acquired through fellowship programs by enhancing understanding of the business aspects of nephrology. This preparation is crucial as nephrology fellows navigate the complexities of an evolving healthcare landscape.

“It brings me immense joy to witness first-hand the next generation of nephrology leaders taking charge of their careers, building life-long connections, and advancing the future of nephrology,” Mary Dittrich, MD, FASN, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of U.S. Renal Care commented. “I am proud of U.S. Renal Care’s continued support of NBLU in its commitment to the growth and preparedness of nephrology fellows. I look forward to attending NBLU each year and am excited to celebrate the program’s significant impact over the past decade.”

From August 12-17, 2025, selected fellows will gather in Plano, Texas, joined by a diverse cohort of practicing nephrologists, hospital and dialysis provider executives, and leaders from national nephrology organizations including American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), American Society of Nephrology (ASN), National Kidney Foundation (NKF), Renal Physicians Association (RPA), and Women in Nephrology (WIN), to deepen their leadership skills, establish important mentorships, and hone key skills necessary in the job search and interview process. Participants will also gain essential insights needed to embark as solo practitioners or influential members of group practices or academic faculties. This year, participating nephrology fellows will be provided with travel stipends to attend NBLU thanks to the generous support of ASN.
