SUMMARY:KIDNEYcon 2022: Virtually Transforming Kidney Care & Research
DESCRIPTION:In light of the COVID-19 pandemic\, KIDNEYcon 2022 will be hosted virtually and live-streamed via Zoom. The program will include two scientific and clinical sessions dedicated to 1) providing participants with the tools to correctly identify and determine optimal prevention and treatment of patients with glomerular disease\, including rare diseases that are often misdiagnosed\, and 2) addressing the many racial disparities in nephrology\, including how to promote diversity in the nephrology workforce. The conference will also feature four hands-on workshops that simulate realistic practice conditions: 1) Kidney Pathology; 2) Peritoneal Dialysis; 3) Urine Microscopy; and\, 4) Point-of-Care Ultrasound.
